Russell John Snyder a lifelong Brewster, NY resident passed away Monday April 28, 2025, in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 68.

Russell was born May 21, 1956, in Mt. Kisco, NY, son of the late Raymond and Jean (Hamilton) Snyder. He graduated from Brewster High School in1975 then started his carrier with Metro North. Russell was an electrician with Metro North and retired after 38 years. Russell was a member of the Brewster Elks Lodge 2101 and was a avid golfer, he was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, a Boston Celtics fan and loved watching pro-wrestling.

Russell is survived by his son Russell Snyder Jr. of Brewster, NY and daughter Laura Snyder of Brewster, NY; brother Rory Snyder of Dover, NY; sister Desiree Snyder of Brewster, NY and grandchildren Kelvin and Jonathan. He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Roger.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday May 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY. A prayer service will be held during the calling hours. The interment will be private.
